July 4 Fun in DC

This was our 4th time in DC watching the fireworks. We have it down to a science. It is an all day event starting by arriving at the Marina near the Pentagon at around 10am. We bring charcoal grills, chicken, steak, burgers, salads, ... the fixin's. We have tried to invite close friends to, walk, bike, sight-see and eat smores. That is always a high point.

This year we had the pleasure of being with 2 additional families. Maybe next year we can double the size of our tent/awning and attendance.

What happened to Barb and the boys? And how come you didn't miss us? Gee, don't we rate anymore? :( Our fourth was spent here at the house with one or two friends, the dog, and NO GIRLS! They come home for my birthday. Life is good here. I've even managed to alienate people already. Yay, Kraig!!!

Looks like a lot of fun. We sure do miss the DC area. As they say out here, Oklahoma is OK. :)

Barb & the boys went to Grandpa's farm for the Fourth since I was leaving for the Mexico missions trip with LBC. BTW, if anyone wants to see my blog on Mexico, see it here!

I've finally caught the bug, and picked up my blog again during the trip. Photos will be added by early next week.
